sometimes you know how you think you're pretty good at something? and then someone comes along and they do it so much better than you.

then you start comparing yourself to everyone. and someone who's better than you intellectually, you think "but oh, i'm better than him in sports".

then in comes someone who's better than you in sports AND studies. then you start thinking specific and think "but oh maybe i'm better in THIS sport, or THIS subject" but in truth you're just not.

there's always gonna be someone better than you. someone who beats you, someone you can't compare to. then what's the point in trying? you'll forever be living in someone else's shadow.

i think everybody feels that way. its a constant feeling of inferiority. you can't help it. because we are all born with the hope to be the best in something. but soon you realise, there will always be someone better than you.

always.
